Money Tracker (Personal & Business) is built to help you manage finances with a focus on privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it’s used, and the choices you have.

Overview

Money Tracker lets you track income, expenses, recurring transactions, and (in Business mode) invoices. We designed the app so your information is primarily stored locally on your device.

This policy applies to the Money Tracker mobile application and related services (if any).

Data We Handle

Data you create in the app may include:

  • Transactions (amounts, categories, notes, dates)
  • Profiles (personal/business profiles and settings)
  • Invoices (client/invoice details you enter)
  • Receipt attachments (images you choose to add)

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not use your data for targeted advertising.

Camera Permission

The app may request android.permission.CAMERA so you can take a photo of a receipt or document and attach it to a transaction (optional feature).

  • Camera use is user-initiated (you choose when to use it).
  • We do not access the camera in the background.
  • If you prefer, you can deny camera permission and still use core tracking features.

Storage & Security

Your financial records are stored locally on your device. Exports (such as PDF/CSV) are generated on-device. Receipt images you attach are stored in your device/app storage.

We take reasonable measures to help protect your data, but no method of storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing access to your device (PIN, biometrics, etc.).

Sharing & Third Parties

We do not share your personal financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you choose to export or share files (PDF/CSV), that sharing is controlled by you and your device’s sharing options. Any third-party app you share to will handle that data under its own privacy policy.

In-App Purchases

Money Tracker offers optional one-time purchases (e.g., Personal Pro / Business Pro). Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment details (such as card numbers).

We may receive limited purchase information from Google Play (e.g., to confirm entitlement) to unlock features.

Children’s Privacy

Money Tracker is a general audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will address it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
